Itinerary:
Day 1:
Full Day Village Tour: Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot Spring
Embark on a captivating full-day village tour, beginning with a guided hike to the Materuni waterfalls. Along the trek, immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of nature, culminating in the breathtaking 90m high Materuni waterfalls – the tallest in the Moshi area. Take a refreshing 30-minute swim in the natural pool before venturing back to experience the traditional coffee processing technique.
Participate in the art of making organic Materuni coffee, and savor the rich flavors of freshly ground coffee in a picturesque setting. Witness a fascinating demonstration of Banana beer making, followed by a delightful sampling of this local beverage. Don't forget to bring appropriate swimwear, footwear, and a towel if you intend to take a dip at the waterfall.
After a delicious included lunch, the journey continues towards Chemka Hot Spring.
Indulge in a leisurely swim and relaxation amidst the trees, occasionally occupied by playful monkeys. The expansive and inviting waters, coupled with the tropical weather, create an ideal environment for a rejuvenating swimming session. Day2.
Tarangire National Park Safari Adventure
Explore the picturesque Tarangire National Park, situated along the meandering Tarangire River on the Great Rift Valley floor. The park features low-lying hills and is adorned with Acacia woodland and towering African Baobab trees, creating a stunning natural landscape. In the southern region, vast swamp areas further enhance the park's biodiversity.
Wildlife Magnet: The Tarangire River and swamps act as a haven for wildlife, especially during Tanzania's dry season. Renowned for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, the park promises an exceptional safari experience. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park and engage in two thrilling game drives, tracing the course of the Tarangire River. As the late afternoon unfolds, we bid farewell to Tarangire and set our course for Moshi, concluding our safari adventure.
En route from Tarangire, we make a stop at the Masai village "Manyata Lucas." Immerse yourself in the rich Masai culture, gain insights into their daily lives, and savor the vibrant experience of traditional Masai dance. Retreat to the comfort of Fanaka Lodge by Lake Manyara, anticipating the next day's journey to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 3.
Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area: A Natural Marvel
The Ngorongoro Crater is an integral part of a vast network of interrelated ecosystems, encompassing the crater highlands, expansive plains, bush, and woodlands. The entire Ngorongoro Conservation Area sprawls across approximately 8,300 square kilometers. At its heart lies the historic Olduvai Gorge, a site that has yielded numerous fossils.
Key Features: The Ngorongoro Crater, measuring about 20 kilometers in width, stands as one of the world's largest calderas.
